Title: | High performance parallel processing system for real-time animation | Authors: | Leong, Soon Khing. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Computer hardware, software and systems | Issue Date: | 1995 | Abstract: | This thesis reports the design and development of a transputer based vehicle simulator capable of a real-time display update rate of 24 frames per second. This involved the development of a prototype using off-the-shelf transputer modules to facilitate feasibility study and simulation of the system performance. The first stage development of the prototype served as a test bed for the various computer graphics processes implemented. Performance measurements of these computer graphics processes were collected and analysed to identify the processing and communication bottlenecks.
