Abstract: The vast potential of the squeeze casting process is still untapped in the commercial sector. Squeeze casting of aluminium alloys is still in its infancy in Singapore although research and development is underway to exploit its potential to produce high strength, high integrity components. Furthermore, because of its near net shape capability, squeeze casting is even more attractive as a commercial production method.
