dc.description.abstractThis project endeavors to develop a Petri net based Modeling Assisted Software Environment (MASE) tool using object-oriented approach. The tool emphasizes on user-friendliness in which it interacts with the user through a set of efficient Graphical User Interface (GUI), consisting of Graphical Editor (GE) and a Text Kernel (TK). The GE allows the user to create, delete and modify objects by mouse. In GE, the logic of inter-connecting between Petri net objects is governed by a Drawing Validator which is composed of functions of net theory. TK is used to enter the Petri net description called MASE Language (MASEL) which is then compiled by MASEL Compiler. General features like cut, copy and paste are available as well.en_US
