Abstract: For a long time, television as a mass medium has been said to be a powerful influencing agent. The omnipresence of stars from the Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS) in Singapore shows that there is a strong belief in the influence of these TV personalities. Teenagers are known for being especially susceptible to idolising mass media personalities.
