Title: Design of a desktop micro-EDM using transistor type pulse generator
Authors: Goh, Beng Hu.

Issue Date: 2007
Abstract: Micro EDM refers to the application of electrical discharge matching (EDM) technology for microfabrication. The energy in a single discharge is minimized to as low as 10^(-7) to 10^(-6) J, to achieve very small unit removals and high accuracy. For this reason, there is a strong reliance on Resistor-Capacitor (RC) pulse generators that are able to generate discharges pulses of extremely short duration, as low as tens of nanoseconds using stray capacitance.
