Issue Date: | 2009 | Abstract: | Since the introduction of the Internet, sharing of information has never been easier. Images are widely available at the click of a mouse. However, as the ease it brings increases, the need for copyright enforcement and ownership certification increases along with it. This is where digital watermarking comes in. Digital watermarking is a form of embedding data into the original image for authentication and verification later. The original image remains untouched to the human eye and accessible publicly, but is permanently marked. Digital watermarking systems come in different types, and in this project, the focus will be in proposing a new fragile watermarking system. The new system proposed would be based on altering an additional byte for storing of additional data. This alteration to embed additional data would also cause inconveniences when reproducing the image physically. An automatic sorting and manual selection system will be implemented to provide users with convenience and flexibility. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/20730 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
