Abstract: With the rapid development of cellular communication systems in recent years, there’s a need to more efficiently allocate the network resources to ensure adequate quality for the increasing number of subscribers and their demand for high-speed multimedia services. In this project, we only focus on the performance of uplink voice transmission for TDD-CDMA networks. An overview of the project is first given followed by an introduction to the cellular networks concepts. The PRMA based Multi-hop Medium Access Control scheme for TDD-CDMA networks is studied in detail. Next we propose the Opportunity MAC and the simulation model is also explained. The simulation results is discussed and compared. Furthermore, we propose another Two- Stage MAC scheme and the performance comparison is also presented.
