dc.description.abstractThis dissertation presents the experimental and numerical study of the ultimate capacities of multiplanar XX tubular joints. The experimental test was used to verify the numerical results and the numerical analysis was used to perform the parametric study. The objectives of the present study are to develop a reliable and cost effective method for predicting the ultimate capacities of multiplanar XX-joints as well as to better understand the behaviour and failure mode of the joints.en_US
