Outsourcing of library services in Singapore : lessons learnt.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyse the extent of service outsourcing in selected Singapore libraries, to examine the factors or circumstances that led to the decision on whether to outsource, as well as to identify common issues the libraries faced. Also included are learning points from outsourcing experience of other industries such as IT, manufacturing and retail.
