dc.description.abstract《她是一个弱女子》在1932年发表,是郁达夫重要的中篇小说之一。 This thesis is about rereading Yu Da-fu’s medium-length novel, “She is a Weak Woman” (referred as “Weak Woman” below), published in 1932. The research and comments about the “Weak Woman” has been more derogatory than commendatory, reasons being that it contains too many explicit sexual descriptions about women in the story. In actual fact, the “Weak Woman” has clear descriptions about female same-sex desire that is apparent during 1920s in female schools. However, nobody has yet to do the comparison and in-depth studies about this female desire “sub-culture” that is present in the story and in reality. In addition, one of the main characters - Li Wen-Qing, has always received negative remarks from researchers about her being a “sexual pervert” or a “bisexual”.en_US
