dc.description.abstract | The concept of 'Successful Ageing' has been much discussed in Singapore's ageing population where family and the state formed the core agents. However, the role of leisure-based groups catered for the elderly in Singapore seem to be absent or only briefly mentioned. This paper highlights the potential role that leisure-based groups play in an elderly's life by depicting how their involvement in such groups interplays with their emotions. An exercise group for the elderly called Warga Emas was used as a case study in this research. Th findings will be discussed further. | en_US |
