Issue Date: 2006
Abstract: This study is in the area of automatic ontology construction, focusing on ontology enrichment. An ontology is a computer-usable knowledge resource storing the common knowledge in a domain. Constructing the ontology by hand is laborious as a moderate ontology has several thousands of concepts and hundreds of relationships. The goal of ontology enrichment is to automatically produce the ontology by growing it from a small seed ontology using acquired concepts and semantic relations.
