Abstract: Forensic document examinations currently rely on highly manually intensive techniques to examine and prepare evidence for presentation when there is a dispute in the authenticity of a handwritten document. While the detailed tehniquies may vary from country to country, a general method is well estalished. Working with the questioned document, and a number of known document, the examiners will make use of pens, paper, magnifying glasses, scissors and glue to extract features from these documents , and form and expert opinion with illustrative examples.
