Abstract: Two soft-input-soft-output iterative decoding algorithms for product code were studied and developed - (1) an algorithm developed by Pyndiah that uses a suboptimal modified Chase algorithm that is able to decode in a near-optimum fashion (2) a proposed single parity check based iterative decoding algorithm to decode product code.
