Abstract: This project focuses on the reconstruction and generation of 3D human postures, and hence 3D human motion, from 2D monocular images. The techniques proposed here consist of algorithms for both motion analysis and single frame reconstruction. An optimization algorithm is proposed by observing the need to ensure smooth motion of the torso between consecutive frames.
