Title: | A study on meta-heuristics algorithms for solving the intelligent turret assembly system | Authors: | Tan, Hock Woo | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computer applications::Physical sciences and engineering | Issue Date: | 2008 | Source: | Tan, H. W. (2008). A study on meta-heuristics algorithms for solving the intelligent turret assembly system. Master’s thesis, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. | Abstract: | The Intelligent Turret Assembly System (ITAS) is a modular, re-configurable assembly system with a small footprint. This thesis investigates the use of Simulated Annealing (SA), Genetic Algorithm (GA), Tabu Search (TS) and Ant Colony Optimisation (ACO) for finding optimal configuration for the ITAS. A hybrid GA-ACO algorithm which was found to out-perform other conventional methods was proposed. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/2486 | DOI: | 10.32657/10356/2486 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | open | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
