Abstract: Inbetween drawing is one of the most time-consuming and labor-intensive procedures in animation production. In this thesis, we investigate a wide range of information in keyframe drawings and accordingly propose several techniques by extracting the useful information and employ it into the process of inbetween generation. Our research is conducted in both image-based and vector-based areas. Our techniques improve the quality of inbetweens. Smoother and more realistic motion is generated.
