Title: | IEEE 802.11E WLAN QOS analysis and simulation | Authors: | Pan, Xiao | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Wireless communication systems | Issue Date: | 2006 | Abstract: | This thesis sums up a detailed study of QoS issues and analysis of existing QoS schemes for the IEEE 802.11 WLAN [1], the operation of the legacy IEEE 802.11 MAC functions, including DCF, PCF and their limitation of supporting QoS, following with the IEEE 802.1 le [2], HCF which is the enhancement to the original MAC, consisting of EDCA and HCCA functions, the new features on QoS support are introduced.
