Abstract: The objective of the research work is to study the performance of the Turbo coded modulation scheme under a comprehensive channel model which incorporates the Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel, fading channel and wireless Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) channel. Turbo Coded Multilevel Modulation (TCMM) approach, proposed by Berrou et al and Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation (TTCM) approach, proposed by Robertson et al formed the focus of the study.
