Abstract: In this thesis all fibre spectral filter based on the coupling of LPoi and LP\\ mode has been proposed. The main advantage of all fibre spectral filters is that it can be directly spliced into the transmitting fibre. This will help to reduce the insertion loss that normally encountered due the connectors as well as lower the coupling loss.
