Abstract: This dissertation has compared various architectures available for high-resolution delta-sigma ADC modulator for audio band applications. Single loop topology has been chosen due to its simplicity, its tolerance to component imperfections, and availability of existing work that manage to overcome the need for exhaustive analysis of this topology. Three-level quantizer has been proposed, designed, and simulated to verify its effectiveness compared to typical 1 -bit quantizer.
