Abstract: The design and analysis of actively mode-locked fiber laser has been examined both theoretically and through simulation. The laser model established has a ring configuration, which consists of an erbium-doped fiber pumped by a laser diode, an amplitude modulator, a tunable filter and an optical isolator to provide unidirectional operation.
