Abstract: The research work presented in this thesis is particularly focused on a fundamental investigation and development of the optical flow estimation, which is considered as one of the fundamental computation tasks often required in computer vision. The goal of the optical flow computation is to extract the two-dimensional velocity information at each pixel on the individual frame of a video sequence.
