Abstract: Kaskus is a popular Indonesian online community and has attracted many Indonesians worldwide. This study seek to explore the ways Indonesians in Singapore contrast their identity in relation to their experiences in Singapore and the ways Indonesians in Singapore contrast their identity in relation to their experiences in Indonesia through the use of internet. Using cyberethnography method, I will organize this study around three basic themes – that by using Kaskus Regional Singapore (1) Indonesians in Singapore articulate both their national and ethnic identity, (2) Indonesians in Singapore construct and negotiate their Indonesian identity in relation to Singaporean, and (3) Indonesians in Indonesia are able to interconnect with Indonesians in Singapore and acquire knowledge and information to prepare themselves of future role. All these issues will discuss in relation to online identity.
