Abstract: In the design of high frequency power amplifier, the main purpose is to achieve the power gain and output power at the desired frequency in order to achieve high Power Added Efficiency (PAE). The input and output matching for the high frequency power amplifier design will be modeled and simulated using Advanced Design System (ADS) software. The load and source pull techniques will be implemented to characterize the power amplifier since its large signal Sparameters are usually not provided by the manufacturer.
