Issue Date: 2007
Abstract: This study presents a prototype system that implements an Information Extraction (IE) method to derive and analyze relationships between entities extracted from terrorism domain text corpus. The system automatically populates a pre-defined ontology for further analysis through visualization and query on the ontology. Methodologies available in IE together with ontology concepts were evaluated and implemented into the system to derive knowledge from unstructured text.
