Abstract: Despite the rapid improvements in graphics hardware and network technology, interactive rendering of large online triangle models remains a big challenge. Rendering acceleration techniques such as Level-of-Detail (LOD) and visibility culling provide promising solutions for reducing the rendering load on the client as well as optimizing model transmission from the server to the client.
