Title: | Identification of cellular transcription factors binding to HBV promoter with naturally occurring deletions | Authors: | Pan, Hong | Keywords: | DRNTU::Science::Biological sciences::Microbiology::Virology | Issue Date: | 2006 | Source: | Pan, H. (2006). Identification of cellular transcription factors binding to HBV promoter with naturally occurring deletions. Doctoral thesis, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. | Abstract: | Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a leading cause of chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Suppressing viral replication in chronic HBV carriers is an effective approach to controlling disease progression. Even though antiviral compounds are available, the host factors that have a significant effect on viral replication efficiency need to be better characterized. Our group previously reported a significant association between patient serum viral load with a naturally occurring deletion within the HBV viral promoter. | Description: | 179 p. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/35760 | DOI: | 10.32657/10356/35760 | Schools: | School of Biological Sciences | Fulltext Permission: | open | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
