|Issue Date:||2008||Abstract:||If the world needed a reminder of just how important China is in the world trade, the entry into WTO should provide an explicit answer. China has become one of the most attractive trading partners in the world since its "Opening Door" policy. As a neighbouring region of China, ASEAN countries are more concerned now about the impact of "opening China" on them than ever before. The swarming rise of China has brought fear and uneasiness to them. However, during the last decade their improved relationship with China has lead ASEAN countries to seek new forms of regional economic cooperation and also, over the years, China has been making efforts towards the regional economic integration.||Description:||47 p.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10356/35774||Fulltext Permission:||restricted||Fulltext Availability:||With Fulltext|
