Title: | Political economy of Malaysia's vision 2020. | Authors: | Chin, Kiang Mun. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Social sciences::Economic development::Malaysia | Issue Date: | 2007 | Abstract: | Ever since the Vision 2020 was conceived, the people of Malaysia have found new challenges and hopes. The vision is meant to guide Malaysia towards the goal of becoming a developed country by the year 2020. With only thirteen years left before the year 2020, the country must have achieved some important milestones that have continued to motivate its people and justify the relevance of the vision even until today. The paper intends to discuss Malaysia's quest for success, the many obstacles in its path, and despite major disruptions like the Asian Financial Crisis, how has Malaysia continued to grow in line with the vision's objectives and why the goal to become a developed country is still possible. | Description: | 40 p. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/35805 | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
