dc.description.abstractSince the reformasi era in 1998, Indonesia has been seeking a new approach to fetch people to real democracy. Starting with the fall of Soeharto and followed by the eagerness to build a new era which would lead them awake from poverty and backwardness, Indonesia has been trapped in never ending socio-psychological conflicts. During Indonesia's attempt to be a winner in these crucial moments, triggered by unfinished transnational problems, Islamic movements have been trying to engage the mass' interest by applying Islamic fundamentalism. They offered instant solutions to people which, in their mind, would release their socio-psychological problems in the frame of jihaden_US
