Abstract: We analyzed the distribution models prevalent in China's tourism industry, and noted a very fragmented travel agency market. Due to this localization, China has an additional distribution layer, as opposed to typical distribution models in use at countries such as the United States and Europe, which serve as a jobber or intermediary between suppliers and travellers.
