Abstract: Compared to bartering in ancient times, the world has become a borderless global village now, with improved transport infrastructure and sophisticated technologies and systems. With the rapid growth in the number of internal and cross-border payments made in the recent few years, especially after the number of initiatives undertaken to enhance a secure cost-effective payment system to support the growing electronic payments activities, it is therefore interesting and timely to evaluate the current International Payment system in this paper.
