Abstract: Investigations on plant responses to its growth environment are becoming increasingly important for advanced agriculture. The synergy of plant physiology with optical spectroscopy has enhanced opportunities in these investigations. Systems and protocols have been developed to investigate plant responses to mineral nutrient stress, drought stress and ambient carbon dioxide content variation.
