Abstract: In this dissertation, the mechanical properties of RBC membrane and the deformability of erythrocytes under the optical traps with different applications were investigated. The applications include direct optical trap in radiation pressure of double laser beams, indirectly optical stretching by attached beads and single optical trap in fluid flow. The investigations were conducted by experimental approaches and by numerical simulations based on the established physical models.
