Title: | Mechanical modeling and simulation of optical wave guide for touch sensor application | Authors: | Mohandass Sivakumar. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Mechatronics | Issue Date: | 2006 | Abstract: | Touch screen monitors have become more and more used in commonplace. There are several different touch sensor technologies available in the market today, each using a different method to detect the touch input or the location of the disturbance experienced by a force exerted by the touch. There are three basic systems that are used to recognize a person's touch which are resistive, capacitive and surface acoustic wave. The sensing of a disturbance to a signal carrying medium can also be easily and efficiently captured by optical sensors also as well. | Description: | 73 p. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/35997 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
