Abstract: In March 2005, the Minister for Manpower (MOM) announced and set a target to halve Singapore's work-related fatality rate to 2.5 per 100,000 workers by 2015. One specific measure for the construction industry is to develop a robust SAFETY AUDIT SCORING SYSTEM that involves independent scoring of projects by third parties to evaluate the performance of the worksite's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management system to raise WSH performance and standards in Singapore.
