Title: Thermal properties of polypropylene/clay nanocomposites
Authors: Thet Naing Tun.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Compositional materials science
Issue Date: 2007
Abstract: Polymers are materials that are widely used everywhere. Nowadays polymeric composite materials are advanced materials and are being replaced in some of the traditional materials such as metals and alloys. The clay modified polymeric materials are one of the important materials that are being developed and studied. The objective of this work is to study the thermal and mechanical properties of polypropylene/clay nanocomposites. Adding of nanoclay particles helps the polymer matrices to improve their thermal stability, crystallinity and mechanical properties.
