Title: | Evaluation of tribological performance of nano composite coatings | Authors: | Zhou, Ji. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering | Issue Date: | 2007 | Abstract: | Superhard nano composite coatings TiAlSiN and CrAlSiN are deposited on high speed steel substrates using PVD technology. The samples were evaluated using a multi-functional pin-on-disc tribometer with AI2O3 as the sliding pin. The tests were conducted under elevated temperatures with lkg/0.5kg loads and 50rpm/200rpm rotation speeds. The failure mechanisms of the coatings under sliding wear conditions are studied by analyzing the wear features of the wear tracks as well as the sliding pin. | Description: | 85 p. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/36054 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
