Abstract: Tissue engineering, either using an in vitro fabrication approach, or guided regeneration in vivo, uses a combination of scaffolds, cells, and environmental factors to achieve a functional tissue replacement. The biodegradability and porosity in these scaffolds for cells adhesion offer many promises, advantages, and potential rewards over conventional treatment options such as surgery, in the treatments of cancers.
