Abstract: Today's electronic products are getting smaller in size also a great reduction in weight apart from coming with an increase in functionality. Many of the equipment used in day to day life are now been implemented with electronic components. These components are most often subjected to shocks and vibrations. It requires the ability of the component to safely withstand drop or impact shocks. This can be assured by testing the component under drop or impact type of loadings. Thus drop or impact tolerance is increasingly becoming a concern when taking the reliability of the component into consideration. The electronic component being discussed here is the modeling and dropimpact response of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
