Abstract: The main objectives in this thesis are (i) to review two famous filter design methods: the first one is based on the balanced model reduction (BMR) and the second one is based on eigen-analysis approach, (ii) to implement some of the design techniques used in the two design methods, and (iii) to exploit a new and efficient model for digital filter design.
