Real-time channel recovery by using shared backup paths

Abstract

This research work proposes a resource shared restoration scheme in which the path of a backup connection is selected only if the required reliability level of the session connection can be achieved. First, we describe a mechanism to activate the backup connections by assigning them the backup resources on the links on their paths. (Dr. Ng Jim Mee)
