Issue Date: 2010
Abstract: Textures can be seen more and more common in the IT world; be it in graphics games or the websites that we visit every day. With the increasing demands for different kind of textures, there is never lack of textures that are not suitable for any situation, as it is rather easy to create textures using the many techniques available these days. In this project, we will combine several techniques like Laplacian Edge Detection and Gaussian Blur Filter to conduct a search through a database full of textures. These techniques will greatly help to produce a precise result that is almost similar to what user would want, and it would definitely shorten the time for user if user were to search through the database for the desired texture.
