Resting in public.

Abstract

The inspiration for this project came about when I noticed how people rest in the public area and the kind public furniture that are currently seen in Singapore. The fundamental idea is to give the feeling of, to represent and remind the users, the feeling of resting in a natural environment, and thus the metaphorical approach to the design - the idea of resting in a park or resting in a field of greenery. In my final design, I’ve merged the elements together, nature and also a resting area.
