Title: | Elevated living. | Authors: | Ng, Andrew Yi Zhuang. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Portraits DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Photography |
Issue Date: | 2010 | Abstract: | The series, Elevated Living, contains portraits of Singaporean men in their twenties juxtaposed in diptychs, against shots of urban landscapes, particularly, landscapes of construction sites and desolate buildings. At first glance, the pictures might not have an obvious connection or convey a narrative. They do however work together to form a bigger picture. That bigger picture is one that emanates feelings of loneliness, ennui and even male eroticism. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/38711 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
