Title: | Design and fabrication of diffractive optical elements for laser beam shaping | Authors: | Ye, Jianyu. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Optics, optoelectronics, photonics | Issue Date: | 2003 | Abstract: | This project explores the area of hologram optimization algorithms. Optimization is the process of attempting to find an optimal solution of computer-generated hologram (CGH) in a reasonable time for the usage of converting an input Gaussian beam to Bessel beam. The objective of this thesis is to find an efficient algorithm applied in the diffractive optical element (DOE) design. Two global algorithms, two local search methods and one hybrid algorithm are investigated and the optimization results are compared. Their merits and demerits are discussed. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/3875 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
