dc.description.abstract | In the field of biomedical polymers, a strong, yet elastic, biodegradable polymer is required for various in-vivo purposes. This project focused on the synthesis of a chemically-crosslinked, biodegradable copolymer based on polycaprolactone and polylactide. The synthesis of the random copolymer was achieved through ring-opening polymerization, while the primary method of crosslinking involved esterification between carboxyl and hydroxyl groups. | en_US |
