With its positive connotation, the character “满” is often used by the Chinese as an auspicious sign. It not only deals with the tangibles, for example, water and rice, but also relates to the intangibles, such as emotions. The thesis firstly discusses the importance of“满” in the Chinese context. By looking at its meanings from the Chinese point of view, the thesis also aims to explore the topic of life using the character“满”, identifying the essential factors in life that contribute to“满”, as a feeling of fullness. With a clear idea of these factors, the project continues to work on new ways to bring fullness to the audiences through design. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/38808 | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
