dc.description.abstractThe objective of this thesis is to study the continuous-wave (cw) and Q-switching performance of diode-pumped solid-state lasers based on Nd:YV04 (neodymium-doped yttrium vanadate) and compare the performance with that of other laser crystals. Toward this end, we have constructed all-solid-state lasers for high-efficiency generation in cw and passive Q-switching pulse operations.en_US
